OYSTER WORLD
Oyster World turns the eye downward, into the close, textured world of the shore at low tide. Oyster shells, abalone, coral fragments, and sand are layered in resin to create a surface that rewards close inspection — every square inch holds another small discovery. The palette is earthen and cool: pearl, slate, soft blue, and the warm coppers of weathered shell.
THE STORY BEHIND THE PAINTING
This piece grew out of Kennith’s fascination with what most of us walk past without noticing. The oyster shell, broken and scattered along the high-tide line, is a small architecture — chambers, ridges, a record of the life that lived inside.
He spent months gathering specimens, sorting them by color and curvature, and then composing them onto the canvas as if assembling a quiet ecosystem. Oyster World invites the viewer to do what he did: slow down, look closely, and find the world that has been there all along.
